  1. Lightweight Paper: - Weight: 35-55 gsm (20-32 lb) - Description: Lightweight paper is thin and flexible, commonly used for items like newspapers, book pages, and flyers. It is easily folded and suitable for projects that require frequent or large-scale printing.

  2. Standard or Copy Paper: - Weight: 70-90 gsm (20-24 lb) - Description: Standard paper is the most commonly used for printing and photocopying, found in offices and homes. It strikes a balance between weight, cost, and quality. It is suitable for documents, letters, and everyday printing needs.

  3. Cardstock or Cover Paper: - Weight: 130-350 gsm (80-130 lb) - Description: Cardstock is a heavier-weight paper known for its sturdiness and durability. Often used for greeting cards, invitations, business cards, and postcards, it is also commonly used for crafting, scrapbooking, and printing materials that require a more substantial feel.

  4. Index Paper: - Weight: 110-200 gsm (65-110 lb) - Description: Index paper is a medium-weight cardstock used for index cards, dividers, and tabs. It offers more durability than standard paper but is not as thick as true cardstock.

  5. Bristol Paper: - Weight: 190-270 gsm (100-146 lb) - Description: Bristol paper is a heavy-weight cardstock known for its smooth surface. It is commonly used for drawing, painting, illustration, and graphic arts. Its thick and sturdy nature makes it ideal for projects requiring a higher-quality finish.

  6. Watercolor Paper: - Weight: 200-600 gsm (90-300 lb) - Description: Watercolor paper is specifically designed to handle the wet media of watercolor painting. It comes in different weights, with heavier options needed for more extensive or water-intensive techniques. The weight determines how much water the paper can absorb without warping or buckling.
